The Year Of Restoration
would guess that all of us have seen or heard about the criminal disruption of the congressional procedures yesterday that delayed but could not deny the certification of our country’s next President, President-elect Joe Biden, and our next country’s next Vice President, Vice-President elect Kamala Harris.
Is it disheartening, disturbing, and disappointing? Yes.
BUT, it did not stop what God wanted to come to pass.
Last night, despite the very best efforts of current President, President Donald J. Trump, and his followers, the worst did not occur.
During a time like this, rather than trying to outdo the wrong of the wrongdoings of the wrongdoers, I encourage you to reflect on the words of Gamaliel, one who discipled the Apostle Paul, who said in Acts 5:39, “But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found to even fight against God.”
Beloved, let us not be distracted by the wrong of the misguided. Instead, let us be guided by the one who came to right what is wrong in the world...and remember, we are preaching on “2021 - The Year Of Restoration”.
It is becoming so clear that God is working things out.
Do not get too caught up in commenting on the wrong. Instead, focus on making sure that you are on the right side of the Lord and will use your life to give Him praise, honor and glory in all that you do.
And, be steadfastly prayerful for our leaders on the global, national, state, and local stages. Let us pray for God’s wisdom to be their desire as they undertake fulfilling the call on their lives. And, let us seek to live our lives in such a way that is symbolic of us following the leadership of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ.
And, remember, God loves you and I love you too!!!
Be blessed,
Rev. Cain
