Make Inauguration Day A Day Of Prayer
Beloved,
As we approach this historic inauguration of our 46th President, we are going to intentionally disrupt our normal rhythm of gathering for Noonday Prayer. In consultation with the leadership of the Prayer Ministry, Sister Valerie Bailey and Sister Alberta Williams, I have agreed that our time tomorrow should be used in observing this event and praying for a peaceful, joyful, and blessed inauguration, transition and term of office for President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.
And, I do emphasize those three phases inauguration, transition and term. The inauguration will be an event. The transition will be a process. And, the term will be the evidence of the effectiveness of our duly-elected leaders in leading our country.
They will need the wisdom of God and the support of many people to help them during these tumultuous times where the spirit of anti-Christ has reared it's ugly head. Let us pray for that.
To reiterate, we will not hold Noonday Prayer tomorrow; BUT, we will be praying at noontime and afterwards over the course of the next 4 years for the Biden-Harris presidency and vice presidency. And, we will resume Noonday Prayer next Wednesday.
Be blessed,
Rev. Cain
